Advocacy: Empowering Our Veterans & First Responders

Our veterans and first responders have dedicated their lives to our safety. I believe we owe them more than just our gratitude; we owe them the tools to lead healthy, purpose-driven lives long after their service ends.

A Holistic Approach to Resilience

My advocacy focuses on Veteran Holistic Health. I believe that true wellness isn't found in a single pill or a one-size-fits-all program. It requires a multidimensional toolkit that addresses the mind, body, and spirit.

I work to ensure our heroes have access to resources that help them:

  • Manage the Day-to-Day: Establishing sustainable health regimens that improve sleep, nutrition, and mental clarity.

  • Navigate Crisis: Developing the emotional and physical resilience needed to handle high-stress situations.

  • Foster Growth: Unlocking potential in creativity and business, allowing veterans to transition their leadership skills into civilian success.

The Kom Ombo Institute

Currently, my work is centered at the Kom Ombo Institute. We are pioneering a unique approach to recovery and empowerment through:

Trauma & Leadership Informed Yoga We provide veterans and their families with specialized yoga practices designed to regulate the nervous system while fostering the discipline and presence required for leadership.

By involving families in this process, we ensure that the support system is as strong as the individual, creating a ripple effect of health throughout our communities.

Real Results, Real Impact

I have been privileged to work directly with veterans to overhaul their health regimens. Seeing these individuals move from a state of "coping" to a state of "thriving"—launching businesses, reconnecting with their families, and finding new creative outlets—drives everything I do in the political and advocacy sphere.

Key Goals for My Advocacy

  1. Expand Access: Making holistic and alternative therapies a standard part of veteran care.

  2. Integrative Support: Bridging the gap between mental health services and professional development/entrepreneurship.

  3. Community Connection: Strengthening the bond between veterans and their local communities through shared wellness practices.
